Relief for too big of a chair at my office? I have an executive-type of chair at my office which I use... but it's TOO big, ie, too far from the backsupport of the chair (especially the seat) so I am not able to comfortably lean back on the chair, even with a mesh lumbar support I've attached it to. Congress House Speaker and President of the Senate? I thought Nancy Polloci was the House Speaker and that Vice President Dick Chaney was the President of the Senate. When I watch C-Span, I see members of the House such as Mr. Obama and others, as well as others presiding as the President of the Senate. Mr. Chaney said he was not a part of the executive branch because he was the President of the Senate. I have never seen him there. Why are these people taking the place of the people we think are in control of both the House and the Senate? Why are other people in their chairs during both the House of Representatives and the Senate?

How come no one has booted Barney Frank from his position as Chair of the House Financial Services Committee? In September 2003, Frank, then the ranking Democrat on the Republican-led Financial Services Committee, opposed Bush administration proposals for transferring oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by creating an independent agency to supervise. The proposal would have moved oversight from Congress and the Department of Housing and Urban Development to the new agency. Is it legal to share information regarding resumes that are sent in reply to job postings? Some months ago I sent in a resume in response to a posting for an executive position. I have since taken another position. Yesterday the chair of my Board of Directors confronted me regarding the fact that she knew I had applied for another position. She said someone told her from the other organization. Is that legal? Can someone on a search committee share that kind of information? I did not list the Board Chair as a reference. If it helps, I live in the state of Michigan.
